Medway Adult and Community Learning Service
We are recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to work as a member of a co-ordinated team and provide English and maths support to learners during sessions. The course is planned to run on Monday afternoons for 33 sessions starting in September. Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant in an adult learning environment would be an advantage. The successful candidate should have a good general education and hold a City & Guilds Level 2 certificate in Adult Learner Support and will be:
· A good communicator able to support personalised learning within a 1-1 or group learning environment.
· Prepared to work flexibly according to the needs of the Service and the learners to ensure that the course is fully delivered.
· Able to work at any venue within the Medway area as required.
MACLS is committed to the National Skills for Life Strategy and operates a whole organisation approach to it. All staff are expected to have personal competence in English and Maths at Level 2. If you do not currently have evidence of achievement at this level, we will support successful appointees to undertake the Adult Literacy and Numeracy qualifications within the first year of working for us.
