The Derby Safeguarding Children Board is seeking to recruit an Independent Chair.
Derby has solid partnership arrangements and the Board and its subgroups function well.
We are looking for a person who is experience in chairing complex meetings at a senior level, who has a good understanding of safeguarding arrangements and a commitment to meeting the challenge of the safeguarding agenda. The person should have excellent communication skills
It is expected that the time commitment will be two days each month but there will be some degree of flexibility.
Derby has a good track record in terms of Safeguarding and our current OFSTED rating is good.
We are seeking to appoint a Chair who can lead the challenging agenda.
