Our short term break centre offers overnight care and support for up to 6 disabled children during evenings, weekends and school holidays. The aim of the home is to create an environment which nurtures children and young people with a particular focus on the importance of building strong relationships and providing opportunities for children and young people as individuals and as a group to learn and grow across all areas of their development.

Ensuring the day to day provision of high quality home cooked nutritious meals within a small group home; you will prepare and shop for nutritionally balanced menus whilst maintaining a safe clean kitchen.

An enhanced CRB is required for this post and hours of work are determined by the needs of the service.

The successful post holder is required to be available to work shifts, weekends, bank holidays and overtime as required. Each post has a specific working pattern which differs according to the timetable for the academic year and the post holder will work in accordance with this pattern.

Substantial experience of cooking within a professional setting, a basic food hygiene certificate and willingness to undertake relevant training is essential to this post.
