In this role you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, reviewing policies and services and proposing options for improvements.
Working closely with Overview and Scrutiny Committee members and Task Groups, you will provide research and advice in relation to scrutiny work which will include projects aimed at improving services and developing policies. You will provide project management support on specific projects and ensure that community/interest groups are engaged in and contribute to these.
Educated to degree standard or equivalent, you will have previous knowledge of working within the public sector and political management arrangements and constitution. Project management training and an understanding of consultation techniques would be an advantage.
Analytical and problem solving skills together with the ability to build working relationships with a variety of people are essential for this role.
This is a politically restricted post under the Local Government and Housing Act 2000.
