Park Projects Officer

Contract – Permanent, full time

Salary – £37,851 – £40,506

Location: Town Hall Extension, Argyle Street, WC1H 8NP

Camden Council currently has a new opportunity for a Parks Projects Officer to join their Parks and Open Spaces team.

Role purpose:

Support the development and delivery of LBC’s Parks and Open Spaces strategy ensuring our parks are continuously improved and developed

Deliver high profile projects through the capital investment programme, providing project management while managing external contractors.

Prepare bids and applications to secure future investment through S106 and CIF mechanisms plus external funding.

About You:

You are currently working as a project manager, preferably within the green services sector.

You have extensive experience of project managing, landscaping / parks improvement works and influencing planning decisions.

You have experience of strategic thinking and business planning, understanding diverse service demands and how to achieve positive outcomes that meet a range of user needsRole Requirements

  • Project Management Qualification and experience
  • Experience of park refurbishment schemes and influencing planning decisions
  • Proven successes in driving Improvement
  • Possess a strategic perspective and creative thinking skills
  • Experience of management of external contractors
  • Experience of delivering projects on time and to budget
  • Horticultural / landscape qualification or knowledge is desirable.
