This is a one year fixed term contract until April 2011.

You will provide school-based outreach support to parents from a secondary school and a small group of primary schools in Barnet’s Excellence Cluster.

This varied and exciting role will involve working in partnership with families, schools and other relevant practitioners to support parents, children and families, individually and in parenting groups, with the aim of promoting emotional well being, good behaviour and attendance leading to improved outcomes for children.

Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to develop supportive and trusting relationships with parents from across a range of backgrounds.
