We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Occupational Therapist with social services experience to carry out assessments for people with complex disabilities within their own homes and recommending equipment, adaptations or advice to facilitate independence. You must have Moving and Handling skills and be HPC registered, and have experience in recommending major adaptations.

This interesting post also offers opportunities to further your skills, with access to ongoing training and development. We are committed to Continued Professional Development and regular professional supervision will be provided by the Senior Practitioner, who is an experienced Occupational Therapist.

Satisfactory disclosure at the appropriate level under the Criminal Records Bureau is an essential requirement.

#The salary is currently NHS Band 6 (£12,415 – £16,718 per annum) and hours of work will be 18½ per week worked in accordance with the Authority’s arrangements.

It is proposed that a new pay structure will be introduced on 1 September 2009 that will replace the current pay arrangements. The proposed grade for this post under the new structure is Grade 10 with a proposed salary of £12,201 – to £13,786, plus a market supplement which will take the salary to £12,415 – £16,718 per annum until 31st March 2011, at which time this situation will be reviewed.

If you are successful you will be appointed within the current grade but it is proposed that your salary will change to the new grade when the new pay structure is implemented on 1 September 2009.
