The new leadership team have worked hard to establish the structures and new ways of working which we needed to underpin safe professional practice.

We want to empower our social workers to develop practice and be supported in their learning and professional development. As an Independent Reviewing Officer, you’ll provide advice to practitioners and managers, have an active QA role and contribute to further service development. As part of the Quality Assurance ** and Safeguarding Team, you’ll enjoy a mixed workload, primarily managing and chairing Child Protection Conferences and Looked After Children Reviews. You’ll also be involved in QA and case audit activity and may occasionally chair Allegation Management meetings on behalf of the LADO.

In addition to a recognised social work qualification, you’ll have significant knowledge and effective practice experience with Looked After Children, children in need of protection and children with complex needs. Evidence of effective chairing, people management and quality assurance skills will be highly valued, as will experience of inter-agency working with families.
