Salary: Payment is per pupil based on:

• £25 per hour + on costs
• 10 hours tuition delivery (12 lessons at 50 minutes)
• 2 hours planning, preparation, marking, and liaison

Personal tutors are required for this DfE programme, which targets support for pupils entering Year 7 who did not attain national curriculum level 4 in English and/or Mathematics at KS2. Working on a casual part time basis you will be expected to deliver the tuition during the timetabled day and for up to one hour after school as circumstances require it. Tutors must:

• Hold QTS.
• Be qualified to work in the UK.
• Have sufficient appropriate experience of delivering English and/or Mathematics to national curriculum levels 3 and 4.

Please note: Employment will be on a casual contract basis and governed by a commitment to deliver the 10 hours of tuition to each pupil allocated to the tutor

In return tutors will receive support and guidance in the conduct of the role with direct access to the designated Tuition Coordinator and appropriate subject leadership teams.

This post involves working with children and therefore if successful you will be required to apply for a disclosure of criminal records at an enhanced level. Successful candidates will be required to pay for the disclosure of criminal records at an enhanced level upon appointment.
