This post offers exciting opportunities to work in Adult Services as part of multi-disciplinary team with Nottingham City Council.

You will contribute to the assessment process for people with physical disabilities using specialised Occupational Therapy core skills and assessment.

These posts are part of a citywide service and hence there are opportunities to be based in a variety of teams within the locations, including Locality, Access and Crisis, and Housing.

You will take responsibility for your own caseload and undertake comprehensive assessments, coordinate and develop packages of care in partnership with disabled people, carers, colleagues, and other professionals. This will include the assessment and provision of equipment and adaptations, and manual handling, within current legislation and departmental policy.

You will receive regular supervision and ongoing continual professional development opportunities, including in-house training and peer support.

You will have a sound knowledge of assessment procedures and legislation underpinning Occupational Therapy practice within Social Care and have experience of working with adults and older people with a wide range of physical disabilities.

A sound knowledge of manual handling will be advantageous.
