Vacancies have arisen at the above Children’s Centres for the position of Nursery Assistants. The Centres are based across the City of Salford and offer high quality childcare places to children between the ages of birth to 5 years.Experience of working with children 0-5 and a willingness to undertake training to NVQ Level 2 is essential.Nursery Assistants will work under the guidance of the Room Leader and Senior Nursery Assistant to support the delivery of high quality play and learning experiences for the children in their care.Regular contributions to planning, recording and the updating of children’s Profiles will be required as will attending to the children’s personal needs.Nursery Assistants will support in the preparation and care of resources and materials including display.The ability to build and develop good relationships with children, families and a range of other professionals is a vital part of the Nursery Assistant’s role.Children’s Centres are open all year round and operate between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm, Monday to Friday; all staff are requested to work a shift within these hours.Salford Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and stakeholders to share this commitment.
