MST is a new, innovative and inspiring model of service delivery which involves working with a small case load of families in an intensive, time limited intervention – making a real difference to young people and their families. Trafford is one of ten pilot sites across the UK designed to investigate the effectiveness of Multisystemic Therapy (MST) in a range of UK settings. MST is a family and home based treatment for young people with complex clinical, social and educational problems (e.g. violence, drug abuse, school exclusion). A family preservation model is used based on the philosophy that the most effective and ethical route to help children and young people change, is through helping their families and striving to change how young people function at home, at school, and in the neighbourhood. Further information can be accessed via www.mstservices.com

The Trafford MST programme has been operational since January 2009. The Trafford MST team is a multi-agency team consisting of four therapists, clinically led by the Programme Supervisor. In addition the MST team is supported organisationally by the Programme Manager.

We are currently looking to recruit the MST Team Administrator for this new service. The Team administrator will be instrumental in assisting the Programme Supervisor in ensuring the smooth running of this new service and in providing a high quality administrative support to the team. We are looking for someone who has experience in setting up systems and has excellent organisation, time-management and prioritisation skills. If you are interested in joining this team, have excellent secretarial and communication skills including the ability to relate well to families and professionals, you are encouraged to apply. This is a full-time post.
