CHILDREN’S SERVICE
We are committed to the protection of children and vulnerable adults.
BRSI (Building Resilience, Supporting Independence) Division
Fixed-term contract until 31 March 2011
The BRSI Division has a key role in delivering Barnet Childrens Services’ prevention and early intervention agenda for children aged 0-19yrs. It also promotes and supports integrated working across the wider local children’s workforce so that practitioners working with children and young people can identify children’s needs early, and work effectively with the family and other agencies to meet these needs in a planned and coordinated way.
As part of an exciting development, we have created some new positions within BRSI to help us further promote the use of the Common Assessment Framework (CAF) across the local children’s workforce.
You will play an essential role in supporting the operation of the new Multi-Agency Groups (MAGs), acting as the conduit between CAF practitioners/Lead Professionals and the MAGs (a group of senior managers from key partner agencies and Children’s Service set up to ensure the effective use of the CAF).
Qualified to degree level or level 4 in a relevant field such as social work, early years, education or health, you will also have an understanding of the Extended Services in and around Schools agenda.
In return we can offer you professional support, appropriate training and the opportunity to be part of a supportive team committed to working to high standards for the benefit of our service users.
This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Criminal Records Bureau.
For further information on the above role, please contact Michaela Carlowe on 020 8359 4405.
Closing date: 17 September 2010.
Interview date: 24 and 25 September and 1 October 2010.
