Nottinghamshire County Council Communities Planning, Sustainability and Regeneration
The County Council views enforcement and monitoring of planning control as a high priority. We require someone with experience and enthusiasm who can work effectively as part of a small team based at Trent Bridge House, West Bridgford. You will monitor mineral and waste development sites and the County Council’s own developments to check compliance with planning permissions and associated legal agreements, including those sites monitored under the fees regime. You will also be required to investigate complaints, collect evidence and seek to remedy and resolve breaches of planning control via negotiation and enforcement action as appropriate.
If you hold a degree or equivalent in planning or a related subject, have a knowledge and understanding of minerals and waste development and would like to get involved in the planning issues raised by minerals and waste and County Council developments, the post offers the scope to utilise your existing knowledge and to learn new skills and develop.
Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. Job share scheme available. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
