Temporary for 6 months (Maternity Cover)
As a unique partnership service spanning both Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire Police functions, Community Protection is nationally recognised for its groundbreaking work around tackling crime, ASB and envirocrime.
As the Marketing & Communications Officer for this service area, you will take the lead in the strategic delivery of all marketing & communications activity, working with a high degree of initiative and flexibility on multiple internal and external projects.
You will deliver a proactive and reactive media relations service on behalf of Community Protection in order to promote and explain its policies and services to relevant audiences, recognising communications and marketing opportunities across a range of channels off-line and on-line, in support of key Council and Police priorities.
The successful applicant will have a background and relevant qualifications in Marketing Communications and will preferably have experience of public sector or multi-agency environments. Excellent communication, organisational, influencing and partnership skills are essential.
