As the Council has a normal retirement age of 65, the maximum age for recruiting new employees will usually be 64 1/2.

Newham – the place for London’s growth

As part of the Major Sites Team, you will develop and manage major sites projects that deliver Newham’s strategic regeneration objectives. You will be involved in positioning Newham as a leading London borough and driving significant improvement to local residnets’ quality of life.

You will need to:

  • Be articulate, enthusiastic and self motivated
  • Be able to develop relationships effectively and work collaboratively with stakeholders and colleagues
  • Be highly organised with good planning skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Have a sound knowledge and understanding of project management
  • Understand the key elements of the regeneration process, supported by experience
  • Have a track record in successfully delivering regeneration projects, ideally with some experience in estate renewal
