South Staffordshire is an attractive rural Green Belt district on the edge of the West Midlands conurbation where strong emphasis is placed on meeting local needs together with the protection and enhancement of the built and natural environment.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and versatile planner to play an important role in a small but dedicated Local Plans team. You will have the opportunity to develop specialist employment policy as well as being involved in a wide variety of planning policy work and is an ideal opportunity for the right person to make a positive contribution to shaping the district’s future.
You should have a recognised Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or equivalent in Town and Country Planning or appropriate discipline, with some experience in planning policy and Membership of the RTPI is desirable. You should have good communication and IT skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team or on your own initiative.
