Role Description:
You will both support the Local Committee and its members, and, in partnership, develop and deliver services. You will manage Surrey County Council\’s Local Committee so that decision-making and business management processes operate efficiently, effectively and within the law.

In addition you will work closely with local County Councillors and partners to improve services for residents.

You will assist the Area Director to facilitate and support the planning, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of local services that are responsive to identified local needs and preferences. Using data to profile the area you will research into problems and policy issues, and contribute to work on community planning and development.

You will undertake project work in partnership across key policy areas such as Safer and Stronger Communities, Health and Well Being.

To do this you will use your experience of project working and will have good planning, communication, networking and facilitation skills. Your ability to write clear reports and analyse data, and your strong organisation and IT skills will be key.

An enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure check will be required for this role.

The ability to travel countywide is an essential part of this role due to the need to meet strict appointment deadlines.
