Are you interested in helping Surrey County Council to work more effectively at a local level? If so, this may be the job for you.
You will support the SCC Local Committee and its members so that decision-making and business management processes operate efficiently, effectively and within the law, whilst working closely with local County Councillors and partners to improve services for residents.
You will assist the Area Director to facilitate and support the planning, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of local services in a way that is responsive to identified local needs and preferences. You will do this by using data to profile the area; researching into problems and policy issues, contributing to work on community planning and development, and undertaking project work in key policy areas such as Safer and Stronger Communities, Domestic Abuse and Strategic Transport issues.
To do this, you’ll need to have good planning, communication, networking and facilitation skills, the ability to analyse data and produce reports, excellent organisation skills, and strong ICT skills.
