Do you enjoy working with a broad range of clientele? Do you have strong IT skills, as well as an interest in books and reading? Would you like to share that knowledge with other people? If so, why not join our team in Bracknell Forest Borough Council’s Library Service? With excellent customer care and communication skills, you’ll be a strong team player and able to prioritise your workloads effectively.
Your key responsibilities will be to work on the counter issuing and returning items to customers, to help customers to choose books and audio-visual materials, to tidy shelves, to deal with requests, and to assist the public in the use of our IT facilities.
You’ll be working principally at Ascot Heath Library, and you will also work two Saturdays in three at Bracknell Library. You may also be required to work at one of our other seven libraries from time to time.
The hours of work are:
Monday 9.30am – 1pm at Ascot Heath Library
Thursday 4.10pm – 7.10pm at Ascot Heath Library
Friday 2pm – 5.10pm at Ascot Heath Library
Saturday 9.45am – 12.45pm at Ascot Heath Library (Week 1)
9.30am – 4pm at Bracknell Library (Weeks 2 and 3,
with 1 hour for lunch)
