We are in the process of completing our successful 5-year ‘Strategic Review of Leisure’ which has resulted in the development of the award winning St Peter’s Leisure Centre (Joint Council/PCT Initiative), the £1.3 million refurbishment of Padiham Leisure Centre and the development of Community facilities through the ‘Building Schools for the Future’ initiative.

Heading our facilities team means taking responsibility for every aspect of our working life – from operations and quality to health and safety and technical services – the process is one of continuous improvement and financial performance, achieving results through improved service provision, planning and delivery.

Ideally qualified to Degree standard, with extensive management and operational experience – here is an opportunity to deliver effective sports and leisure facilities, whilst achieving our commercial objectives, improving standards and galvanising the business into a highly productive and service driven team.

This is a senior role and demands a dynamic management style, superb communication skills and a creative and visible approach to a number of exciting challenges and opportunities.

In accordance with the provisions of Section 2 of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 this post is deemed to be ‘Politically Restricted’
