This role directly supports the provision of operational frontline services throughout Surrey.
We are seeking a manager to directly manage a team of up to 2.5 driver trainers. The work entails managing the provision of approved LGV, Emergency Fire Appliance, Aerial Appliance and other specialist vehicle training to employees of Surrey Fire and Rescue Service.
A team orientated approach with strong IT and organisational skills are required. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have experience of developing and implementing effective processes.
You must be an approved Driving Instructor for both Car and LGV, be a Driving Standards Agency LGV examiner (Cat C) and Car (Cat B), hold a current LGV licence and be registered on the Register of LGV Instructors. Experience of using four wheel drive vehicles would be desirable.
