About the job

An opportunity has arisen within our Disability Services team for a Lead Nurse to act as the organisations clinical specialist lead for providing nursing services to our users with learning disabilities. In addition, the role involves working closely with our Speech & Language, Psychology, OT, Care Management and Health colleagues. This is a real opportunity to demonstrate and use your team working knowledge and skills.As the Nursing expert for Hillingdon, you will be challenged with developing, implementing and evaluating programmes of care, whilst in addition, you will also contribute to the development of the learning disability service, and as the lead nurse you will have supervisory responsibilities for a team of nursing professionals that operate within the wider multi-disciplinary team.

About the person

We welcome applications from candidates that are appropriately qualified with 3 years post registration experience, and with a significant amount of experience in various roles working with people in this client group. The successful candidate will be able to confidently demonstrate their specialist LD nursing expertise, and will also be able to contribute and operate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team, providing the necessary support to colleagues and working across health and social care boundaries as required to achieve both service and individual objectives.
