As a member of a small section, you will carry out a range of audits and projects covering all of the Council’s services.
You will:-
- Be studying for membership of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) or equivalent.
- Have internal audit experience, preferably in the public sector.
- Be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Desktop applications.
- Have good interpersonal skills.
- Enjoy working in a team environment.
The post is career-graded and movement through the salary scale depends upon achieving audit skills and competencies at different levels. If you are studying for AAT or a professional CCAB qualification the Council will consider providing support to continue your training.
Harrogate provides an internal audit service to a neighbouring authority, Craven District Council based at Skipton. You may be required to undertake work at this Authority.
