This is a new role co-ordinating the Council’s approach to information security, establishing robust policies, procedures and working practices and enhancing the awareness of information security across the council. You will be responsible for the council’s response to information security codes of connection required to allow us to connect to secure third party networks.

You will posses a sound understanding of information security issues with some technical knowledge of tools and products that provide security protection. As important is your ability to review and amend pro forma policies and to adapt promotional materials for use in information security awareness campaigns.

You will be highly motivated with excellent organisation and communication skills with the ability to understand and develop both technical and non technical aspects of information security.
