In Redbridge we are proud of our fully operational and integrated Children’s Trust, delivering joined up children’s Health, Social Care and Education Services to a large diverse community in North East London.
We are looking to recruit highly motivated and innovative individuals to chair both statutory reviews of looked after children and child protection conferences. You will be child focused, and keen to engage children, young people and their families to achieve better outcomes through well-planned intervention and care.
As a GSCC registered Social Worker with significant experience of statutory social work with children and their families, you will have up to date knowledge of the legal framework for planning for children, and the associated regulations and guidance.
You must have experience of working a complex caseload including children who are looked after, child protection investigations and children who are subject to a child protection plan. You must have experience of chairing meetings that involve children, parents and other professionals in making decisions. You will have excellent interpersonal skills. You will be well organised and able to manage a varied and sometimes challenging workload. You will need to be able to write high quality writing review minutes and to edit records of conferences using electronic record systems.
You will receive regular supervision, supportive management, and access to quality training and development.
