We have a vacancy for an independent member on our Standards Committee, which oversees the behaviour of members and advises on good practice and ethics. It also hears cases on potential breaches of the council’s Code of Conduct.
What will the council offer you?
We will provide support and training to the successful applicant. If selected, you will receive an allowance of £117 for each meeting you attend as part of your role.
We are looking for the following qualities:

• Tact and good interpersonal skills
• Good communication skills
• Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality
• High standards of personal integrity
