AN EXCITING TIME TO WORK IN SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL
This vital role in the Safeguarding Children Unit will help ensure sound and effective practice across the professional network and promote child centred practice.
You will chair child protection conferences and looked after reviews as well as contribute to the work of the Surrey Safeguarding Children Board.
Substantial travel will be required – both within the county and further afield.
With a clear grasp of children’s rights and the need to achieve their participation, you’ll need extensive social work experience in both child protection and childcare, including legal work, together with excellent risk analysis, communication and IT skills and a proven ability to manage complex multi agency meetings. GSCC registration is essential.
An enhanced CRB disclosure and a Children’s and Adults barred list check will be required for this role.
