Working across the council to deliver excellence for and in the eyes of residents
The Improvement and Delivery Team aims to improve the quality and effectiveness of services and corporate functions, with the goal of improving outcomes for residents and the resident experience. Our team also leads on the corporate improvement and culture change programme – IC Excellence.

Your role as Improvement and Delivery Project Officer will be varied, fast paced and will involve work across every department. You have a passion for making a difference on behalf of residents and a flair for building relationships and solving problems.You need the confidence to work with staff at all levels, and the ability to enthuse, persuade and challenge others effectively. You are able to work autonomously, as well as in teams and enjoy working in a dynamic environment.

As Project Officer, you will play a key role in:
- identifying opportunities for service improvement and embedding IC Excellence;
- designing and delivering service review, improvement and culture change projects;
- working effectively with staff at all levels and in all parts of the organisation to deliver excellent services for residents.

Experience is always an asset but we also welcome applications from people who may not have done this kind of work before. The two most essential attributes are the right attitude and an aptitude for effecting change.
