Oxford City Council currently has a vacancy for an ICT Systems Developer in the recently formed ICT Service Area. This is an ideal opportunity for the successful candidate to influence how ICT services will be developed and delivered over the coming years by the application of innovative ways of working.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- To be the owner of internal application development technology, architecture and strategy within the City ICT service.
- To work with, and advise the Head of ICT Strategy and ICT Business Partners on the opportunities presented by new application development toolsets and technologies.
- Advising and assisting the others in the ICT Service in the set-up of new modules, functionality, revised routines or expansion of existing systems. This will involve researching and evaluation of the options available taking into account user requirements and the aims of the service; making recommendations; undertaking/arranging the development work required along with any conversion routines and systems testing necessary for live operation. Assist in evaluating changes to Business processes and the effects such changes may have on other systems
