This is an interesting opportunity for an experienced IT professional to apply their expertise to develop and further improve the technology used throughout the Kent Highways Services.
Leading the ongoing operation of ICT systems within KHS, you’ll develop the use of existing and new ICT in order to ensure the delivery of efficient and effective customer focused services.
With an up-to-date specialist knowledge of business systems, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the KHS ICT strategy to assess new business ideas that exploit new technology. The responsibility for ensuring that all ICT users are fully trained on programmes and ICT processes will be yours, as well as the construction of the training guides for key MapInfo modules.
An education to degree level or equivalent in relevant subject and a European Computer Driving Licence will be required.
Experience in a similar role where you have gained knowledge of System Administration, ICT report writing and Web publishing will be essential. You’ll also be experienced in using ICT systems and GIS, matched with an expertise in SQL and understanding of the principles of project management.
