HOUSING OPTIONS ASSISTANT

Working as part of a busy team you will support the Housing Options Officers in providing a comprehensive choice based lettings allocation system. This will involve processing housing applications, carrying out home visits and providing housing advice.

To be successful in this role you must be driven to achieve and maintain high standards of service delivery. The role demands excellent communication skills and previous experience of working in affordable housing.

Educated to a minimum of GCSE standard, you will have strong IT skills and the ability to develop a good understanding of relevant housing legislation.

You will be expected to work with limited supervision, which will require initiative, organisational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

This is a permanent full time post (36 hours per week), with a benefits package which includes 25-30 days annual leave (depending on length of Local Government Service), final salary pension scheme, flexible working hours and free use of leisure facilities.
