| Location | Surrey Heath Borough Council's main offices are located just off the A30 and within walking distance of Camberley's Town Centre. The offices are also within easy access of both the M3 and M4 motorways. | ||
We are looking for an enthusiastic housing professional to lead a busy Housing Needs Team committed to delivering:
- quality housing options advice;
- customer focused homelessness services;
- joint working with partner agencies to prevent homelessness and support homeless households;
- a fair and transparent allocation service;
- continuous improvement through project based initiatives and consultation.
Ideally you will have at least considerable experience in homelessness, housing allocations or housing advice. As well as excellent technical knowledge you will have a customer-focused approach, be skilled at dealing with people in stressful situations and have the ability to undertake individual project work to deliver service improvements and strengthen joint working.
You will also be able to demonstrate the ability to lead and motivate a small team in a demanding environment and the skills to shape and improve the services that are delivered to customers in housing need. You will have a degree or similar qualification, and be CIH qualified or working towards this.
