We are seeking to recruit a competent and enthusiastic individual to join the Housing Team at Harborough District Council. You will provide advice and assistance to people seeking help with housing problems and assist vulnerable home seekers by assessing their housing options and searching for a suitable home to meet their needs.
The successful candidate will have knowledge and understanding of housing law, particularly in relation to allocations and homelessness, and experience of providing housing advice in a confident and diplomatic manner. Excellent communication skills, the ability to work as part of a small, flexible team and experience of using Word, Excel and Outlook are also essential.
The base for this post will be the Home Search Property Shop in Market Harborough. However, you will be expected to visit applicants in housing need who are unable to access the Property Shop.
Clearance by the Criminal Records Bureau will be required for this post.
