As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we have created a Resident Services Division within the Housing Directorate that oversees the management of our 17000 secure, leasehold and temporary housing properties. Our vision is to provide a 'Residents First' approach within a modern housing service.
We are seeking a Hostel Manager to manage nine hostels across the borough. This manager will work closely with relevant Housing Officers to manage the Hostel accommodation and residents. The manager will be tasked with reviewing Health and Safety, grounds maintenance, cleaning and repairs across the sites, carrying out occupancy checks and reporting on any suspected non occupation or subletting, ensuring CCTV is functioning and reviewed, supporting Housing officers to manage rent arrears, anti-social behaviour and any other breach of the residents agreement and work closely with our Voids and Lettings team to develop lettings plans for each site.
The Hostel Manager will work with relevant Housing Officers to monitor the wellbeing of vulnerable residents and refer residents for support where needed.
We are looking for candidates with previous experience of Hostel or Housing management, with excellent customer service skills.
The manager role will be based within one hostel but will be expected to travel to hostel accommodation across the borough on a regular basis.
