Homework Club Leader (4 posts)
Grade/Salary: SO1, £15.50 per hour
Ref: ER/1591/CB
An exciting opportunity to help children to improve by developing study skills and completing homework.
Key tasks and skills include:
• Giving focussed help to children to help them complete their homework
• Working with library staff to help children use library resources constructively
• Contributing towards children’s reading development by listening to them read
• Provide termly workshops to parents/carers on issues such as homework tips, national curriculum
• An ability to relate to children aged 7-14 and to support their learning individually and in groups,
• Experience of teaching, tutoring or working with children. Some ICT skills essential
Hours: 3 posts – two evenings and 1 post – 3 evenings a week from 4pm – 7pm, 42 weeks p.a. (during term time and at half term holidays). Evenings dependent on post but will be between Monday to Thursday. Location: All Libraries in Islington
This post will require you to undertake a satisfactory enhanced level, Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) Clearance.
