A vacancy has arisen for the post of Highway Inspector within the Highway Maintenance Team. The team is responsible for all aspects of the routine maintenance of the City’s highways, including safety inspections, identifying and issuing of works, inspection of street works under NRSWA, issuing of licences, and dealing with enquiries/complaints.
We are looking for a conscientious person with the ability to work alone under minimum supervision, and the commitment to provide a quality service to our customers. You must have good knowledge and experience related to highway engineering with good communication and record keeping skills. General knowledge of highway maintenance techniques and materials, experience of the New Roads and Street Works Act; an appropriate supervisory qualification would be an advantage. You must hold a current driving licence.
