Lydiard Park is the ancestral home of the Viscounts Bolingbroke. The Palladian house, beautiful church, formal parkland and surrounding pasture are the striking remains of a great country estate which has recently seen the completion of a £5m landscape restoration project.
In this key role you will maintain the restoration of the historic grounds – woodlands, lawns and Countryside Stewardship Agreements, and implement significant improvements in park management and services, to ensure that visitors have an enjoyable experience.
Leading and inspiring our Warden team, you’ll also be keen to attract new volunteers to the park and promote the benefits of being involved in the ongoing care of our historic site. You will also take a key role in events management and customer relations.
To be a success in this role you will need to have extensive working experience in a park open to the public as well as supervising and managing park staff. Educated to HND standard or equivalent in Countryside Management or a directly related field, you’ll also be able to take a lead role in planning, coordinating and implementing park maintenance schedules.
