Commissioning post offers the chance to contribute to the ongoing development of integrated Children’s Services. This newly created role, which has been extended to deliver locality based services including Services to Schools, will see you responsible for the commissioning of a range of services including Connexions, child and adolescent mental health, substance misuse and voluntary sector services.
Good communication skills will be critical as will the ability to consult and work with a range of partners, utilising your high level negotiating and influencing skills.
You will need a good working knowledge of commissioning from strategic development to appropriate procurement processes and will need to quickly gain a thorough understanding of strategic and locality commissioning, ensuring it is efficient, effective and the best fit for the department.
You will be an experienced commissioner of services with an understanding of the public sector and will relish the opportunity to lead and work with partners within a stimulating and exciting environment.
