You will have the main responsibility for preventative services providing support to the Council’s Children’s Services and the wider Children’s Trust partnership in creating capacity for early intervention, better prevention and the consequent reduction in demand for high need statutory services.
You will also provide strategic advice and lead officer co-ordination for Children’s Service Workforce Reform and will also support the strategic direction and implementation of effective partnership working.

These are key strategic leadership posts within Children Services
acknowledged by JAR Inspectors as having a strong track record of
improvement. “The strong and determined leadership of the Council and the effective working partnerships are continuing to improve outcomes for children and young people in Walsall” December 2008.
