EERA is a regional strategic partnership body which brings together elected councillors from the region’s 54 councils and representatives from the private, voluntary and community sectors. We are now looking to recruit a Head of Regional Employers.
Following an internal review, as the Head of Regional Employers, you will lead our Regional Employers function, providing advice, consultancy and development support to local authorities. You will act as the local government employers secretary leading the formal consultation arrangements at regional level, facilitating regional networks on HR issues and providing a range of training and development programmes and tailored support to local authorities.
In order to succeed as the Head of Regional Employers you will need experience of working in HR at a senior level is required, preferably in a local government setting, together with an understanding of the current and future HR issues and challenges facing local authorities and their partners. This is a high profile hands on role providing support to the region’s local authorities as a key HR adviser and resource, and you will need to have the personal credibility and people skills to succeed in this position.
