Erewash is a Growth Point Area, located in Derbyshire but working with Nottingham City and other Nottinghamshire Authorities on our aligned Core Strategies. In this senior and highly visible role, you will take the lead in delivering key sustainable growth and economic development initiatives across the whole district. This is an exciting time to join our experienced team and to make a difference.

You will be responsible for heading our development management and policy teams and work as part of our senior management team to support continuous improvement across the Council. We are ambitious for our area and want to take full advantage of opportunities for inward investment.

You will have:
•Proven experience in a development role dealing with large scale major applications
•Strong leadership skills and the ability to provide a vision and implement strategy
•Proven experience of working at a senior level
•RTPI membership
•Experience of working in Local Government or equivalent is desirable
