Purpose of Job
• To support the Assistant Chief Executive (ACE) in providing an effective and efficient Human Resource Management function in the Council.
• To lead and manage a team of people to deliver excellence in Recruitment, Safeguarding, Casework, Pay, Benefits and Employee Relations, Contracts Management, Payroll and Management Information Services
• To lead or contribute to specific Council wide project teams and groups, ensuring the Human Resource aspects of change are fully understood, accounted for and addressed.
• To develop partnerships with internal and external agencies which enhance organisational development activities adding value and capacity to the Council’s Human Resource function.
• To develop and implement policies and procedures that support the integration of the Council’s Values and Behaviours into our normal working practices.
