The Finance and Value for Money Team is key to maintaining this momentum and ensuring Lambeth’s continued success. Leading this team, the post-holder will be responsible for ensuring that the department’s resources are effectively planned and utilised, both in the medium and longer term. The post holder will promote and enhance good financial practice across the department, manage the department’s finances, and act as steward of the department’s financial and internal control processes.

The successful candidate will hold a CCAB qualification and be ambitious and self motivated, with the proven ability to work effectively alongside councillors, directors and officers across the council. As a highly experienced candidate, with excellent decision-making and relationship building skills you will be able to demonstrate a strong track record of achievement in both management and financial accounting. The current economic climate places increased emphasis on the role of the team and you will play a critical role in ensuring the department’s sound financial management.
