We’re looking for outstanding financial leadership to up our game in innovative service delivery. It’s not just rhetoric,
we are at the forefront of change; our flagship shared service with Cambridgeshire County Council becomes operational from October 2010. Our journey to become a leaner, more enabled, customer focused council at the vanguard of innovation, requires vigour, pace and energy.
As Head of Finance, you will skillfully drive forward transformation of services and indeed the Council. Working with the leadership team across organisational boundaries, you will strategically shape the finance and investment plans of the Council to deliver value to our £400 million capital programme, revenue budget of over £1 billion and £1 billion pension fund.
Whilst, we’re open-minded about the sector you are in at the moment, your commercial and technical capability will no doubt be outstanding, but honed at the public-private interface and leveraged investment by way of commissioning, outsourcing or PFI. With its democratic complexities, your political adeptness will exemplify confidence with our elected members and your track record of complex transformation will make a difference to the quality of service delivery for the people of Northamptonshire.
