The Cemeteries Section based at Chingford Mount Cemetery, Old Church Road, Chingford, E4 6ST is looking for a full-time gravedigger/cemetery operative.

Your main role will be supporting the cemeteries section at both of the borough cemeteries. You will undertake a range of grave digging and grounds maintenance tasks. You should have a customer focussed approach ideally experience of working in similar surroundings and be able to work to deadlines. You will be part of a team and will need to be flexible and adaptable, have good communication skills and be experienced in the use of machinery manual working including hand digging of graves. You should also have experience with dealing with members of the public and be sympathetic to their needs.
