Finance trainees follow a three-year programme, in which they study for membership of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) or another recognised Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies (CCAB) qualification. The studies are complemented, enhanced and utilised through a series of finance based placements which are completed within the organisation as an integral part of the training scheme.
Financial management is one of the major drivers within the County Council and finance staff are a key component of the authority’s continuing success. This is reflected in the Council’s long established finance trainee programme which allows graduates to develop, progress and attain senior management positions across the organisation.
Cambridgeshire is a highly attractive place in which to live and grow – a county where rolling
countryside is contrasted by vibrant urban centres that include the beautiful city of Cambridge. It is also one of the UK’s major growth areas with a prosperous local economy and rapidly expanding population, adding to the challenges and opportunities to be enjoyed as part of our organisation.
