To be responsible for the management and development of Geographical Information Systems, Computer Aided Design and other expert systems for the Development Plans and Projects Division within the Planning Department
To provide technical and administrative support to the Development Plans and Projects Team.
To provide high quality mapping support for the development of plans, other documents, projects and exhibitions;
To manage and make best use of the Council’s GGP system within the Development Plans and Projects Division and to liaise with the IT officer to improve GIS systems within the Division;
To develop best practice for GIS within the DPP Division;
Mentoring of GIS skills within the DPP Division and the wider Department as appropriate;
To research and help procure appropriate CAD systems for the DPP Division;
To provide CAD support as appropriate to the DPP Division;
