Bassetlaw District Council is looking for an experienced GIS development officer to help promote and develop the use of corporate GIS through the authority.

The successful candidate must have at least two years experience of working with Geographical Information Systems (GIS), an in-depth understanding of key information management tools (Excel/Access/SQL), and significant experience of information management in a public partnership context.

The post holder will work closely with senior officers across the authority and our partner organisations to identify and deliver GIS solutions that either benefit service users and will deliver efficiencies, will also be involved with the developing and promotion of the GIS Strategy. There are also requirements to collect and use community data to support the Equality Framework, Place Shaping and community development agendas.
