A 25 hour vacancy has arisen for a Care Assistant/Domestic within one of our Supported accommodation units.

The post entails providing support to 4 service users who have substantial mental health needs to carry out domestic and self-care tasks.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for directly carrying out tasks where necessary to maintain cleanliness and hygiene within the scheme; they will work as part of a team supporting service users to manage their own accommodation and self-care. The service works to promote Recovery and inclusion.

Candidates must be able to work in a supportive and respectful manner with service users, and be able to maintain a high standard of hygiene including food hygiene. Good communication skills are required, along with the ability to motivate people.

The vacant post is based in an accommodation scheme in the Liverpool 9 area, though the appointment is to the Supported Accommodation Service. Shifts are worked on weekdays, with the flexibility to work occasionally at weekends if the need arises.

Post holder will be seconded to Mersey Care (NHS) Trust in common with other posts in the mental health services.

This is a fixed term post for 12 months.
